Hi everyone!

here's a link to a interesting movie that might be fun if we got together to see:

Also has everyone seen the new Hubble pic of the center of M51?

This is a terrific image.

But, Mike, recall they way the core of M51 looked in the 82" at
TSP last year. I think we saw more detail in the very core with
the 82". Maybe just my bias as as visual astronomer.

Well, the only scientific thing to do is to repeat the observation.

:)

There are places available for observing with the 82" in texas on
may 15 and 16 if people are tempted.

An interesting review. I note the following extract from it:

"With "The Dish" and "The Castle," Sitch and his producing partner Michael
Hirsh have made enormously entertaining movies. Perhaps just as importantly,
they've made good-hearted movies."

By coincidence, last night "The Castle" was on the schedule for the Carleton
Place Film Society, which my wife and I belong to. The movie turned out to
be delightful. If "The Dish" has similar character, it will be well worth
going to. If it shows up locally at any time, count us in as interested
in joining a movie party.

I will try and remember to check at home, but I think either the Bytown or
the Mayfair will be/are/have been showing "The Dish".
