Observing tonight
Matt Weeks
Hello All,
I missed the posts yesterday abpout going to FLO. I would have loved that! Oh well, next time. That will teach me to check the list more often! Well it has been about a month since my last observation session and I am chomping at the bit (...er, or should that be eyepiece?......). The forcast seems to show a clearing trend, so I am planning on observing tonight. I will probably head out to Carp, but I am open to other sites if anyone wants to join me. The galaxies are waiting!! Matt |

I'm planning to go out to FLO tonight, if I get can access to the site (I don't have the combination to the gate yet). Could I tempt you (or anyone else) to join me? Bruce McGlashan -----Original Message-----

Well just to complicate things everyones welcome to come out to my spot tonight, the only thing that worries me is this strong wind, if it dies down great but 70km gusts are a little too strong to open the observatory roof. The forecast says winds will diminish, so I'd say things are a go for now! --Mike -----Original Message-----

So many choices, I'll have to check back later to see what the
go/no-go status is (and where people are planning to go). Personally I wouldn't want to leave poor Mike outnumbered by his telescopes. By the time I got home yesterday it was all clouded over (and there were no further comments on going observing) and even by 10 PM it was still more clouds than clear (and they were moving pretty quick). And I didn't check here either (until more like 11 PM) - guess I should have. :-( Hope to see everyone tonight. Clear skies and calm air, Rob --- In OAFs@y..., "Mike Wirths" <mwirths@s...> wrote: Hi all!spot tonight, the only thing that worries me is this strong wind, if itdies down great but 70km gusts are a little too strong to open the observatoryroof.
