A question for the AP crew...

Hello OAFs, OAOG...

I'm rebuilding?a fairly large gallery of my personal photos (mostly family), with a small portion (5%?) of astronomy photos. I tend to do things in groups chronologically, and I'm okay with that, but well, of course, if I'm interested in moon photos, I don't necessarily want to see the DSOs mixed in the list.?

The simple solution is a table that has time down the left side and categories across the top. Because?of the tool I'm using, I have limitations for the number of columns. I was thinking of grouping things like this:

  1. Gear
  2. Nightscapes, the Milky Way, comets
  3. Constellations, asterisms, stars and star trails
  4. The Sun
  5. The Moon
  6. Planets, including conjunctions and asteroids
  7. Globular and open clusters
  8. Galaxies and nebulae
I'm not hard-core AP, in fact I haven't done much astronomy stuff at all in recent years, but looking to get back into it. Are there other APers?out there with anal-retentive tendencies who distinguish between groupings and simple tags? Views welcome...

Paul
