The Frontenac Dark Sky Preserve doubles as the local landing station for the air ambulance, so it should be plowed.? One should never set up kit on the helipad.

It is a Scouts Canada camp. It is awesome and I've taken old troop there a couple times. Definitely dark sky, but lots of trees, as you might expect from a camp. I don't recall any great lines of

You must be in a darker place than I. I stepped outside last night, moon quite low on the horizon with my 10x50's and even with averted vision had a difficult time in Orleans. Tim

Easily visible in 10x42 binoculars during a full moon -- provided the moon is only 5 or so degrees above the horizon. Even showed a slight asymmetry suggesting a tail.
