I'm sorry to hear of Tom Bootland's passing. I know he had given standing permission? to the OAOG for astonomers to observe from his farm.
Now that he is gone, we should know if Tom's sucessors are willing to continue the permission. Tom was a nice guy. We shoulnt assume about his sucessors.
Perhaps Pierre Martin would know. Pierre had been organizing yearly thank-you gifts for Tom.
(Please also advise me if or when the Bootland Farm clear sky chart should be removed.)
Finally, is there a way for astronomers to commemerate Tom? A dedicated star party perhaps?
