[Nikon_D1] CCD size

Yamil R. Sued #12 Great question Ben!! I've wondered about that for 2 years now!! The 2x3 chip is out there, why don't they use it?? Price??? maybe!! The Philips 2x3 chip might be too expensive!! Even Kodak in their 6MP camera, the DCS 760, uses a little smaller chip, that creates a 1.3x Magnification, compared to the D1,D1X, D1H 1.5x Magnifiacation. I was actually expecting the next generations D cameras to have a full 2x3 chip> Dissapointed?? Maybe a little, but I can't wait to have a D1x in my grubby little paws!!
