Semolina is "SOLET" in Ivrit. I have used it to make "cream of wheat" cereal. It worked oy well.

I do not remember the ratio/porportion of water to solet. About 1 cup solet? to 2 or 3 cups water . A touch of salt. In pot mix and stirr with spoon...slowly bring to boil. Keep stirring till all done,that means water is absorbed.May add a touch of butter or margarine. Do not stop stirring, while the cooking is on. Stop when it looks "done". Turn OFF? heat. This is easy to burn. That's all I can say.

I want to make maamoul cookies. They call for semolina. Found?something in a health food store in the shuk today but not sure it’s what I need.?
