Overlooking the Offense

The Kotzker said: "We read in Numbers 23:21: 'He has not beheld any wrong in Jacob, nor has He seen perverseness in Israel; (when) the Lord his God is with him, and the glory of the King dwells in him.' This menas that the Lord overlooks offenses only if the sinner himself feels near to Him."
