Honors

Said the Bratslaver:
"1. A man should diminish honors to himself, and strive to increase honor of the Lord.
2. Do not pursue honors; rather flee from them. Then God will approve your honors, and people will not investigate or question whether you deserve your honors.
3. Through a recognition that your honors are as nothing compared to the glory of the Lord, you will attain understanding of the profundity of the Torah.
4. Through bringing nearer to God those who are far from Him, you will increase the glory of God."
