Stay safe all. Back on track with our health and fitness goals tomorrow. Or when you’re cleared to go home. ?

Thanks Jen! I was going to start this week but I doubt I'll make it through a hurricane party weekend. We aren't evacuating because I don't think we'll get much of anything. But school is already cancelled for the week starting tomorrow and I can't entertain a whole lot of 9 year olds for almost a week and not have a glass of wine!
Cheers everyone!

Ummmm, it was a mostly dry september, but I had company at our cape house on saturday and, well, when it rains it pours.? Dry again, however.

So far, I’ve managed to survive dry September. ?At this point, it’s the sheer stubbornness of making it this far and not quitting that’s getting me through.
Instead of riding my exercise bike, Ben and I have been walking a lot. ?(Gen 5 Pokemon were released this week). ?I still hate drinking water, but my Soda stream and some lemon/lime juice make it bearable. ?And I treated myself
to a Slurpee after my mammogram yesterday - which I survived without falling on my ass!
We also may have a contributing factor to my weight issues. ?Turns out I apparently have a not insignificant ovarian cyst situation going on (Thanks to Judy for prompting me to get my physical!). So, we’re headed for a MRI next
week and an appointment with a surgeon the following week. ?Not that I have time for any of this nonsense, but we’ll figure it out.
I’d like to figure out whoever first said that I was in for a “nice, quiet year” and kick him in the balls, because he obviously jinxed me!

I think that was Hy - LOL. ?So sorry you are going through this Jen. ?As for me this has been the most painful month I’ve ever experienced. ?MRI revealed I have a bulging disk at c5 & c6 - muscle spasms and nerve pain are immense. ?So, other than PT my exercise
(and sleep) have been minimal. ?Now that my PT guy is helping to correct my blind guy posture I really notice the double chin that needs to go so I’ve got to rely on better nutrition to lose the weight. ?I get a spinal epidural next week so hopefully that
will ease the inflammation and allow me to get physical exercise again. ? I’ll admit that this has not been a dry month for me as I needed to numb the pain. ?

Jen, you know we all have your back and will take over any thing you need to delegate to focus on your health. Finding the time for it is a pain in the ass, for sure, but it is the clear hands down number one priority. Glad it was found and I have faith it
will be nothing more than a nuisance. ? To any of you who ignored the first rallying call to get your annual physical or other appointment you have been avoiding/neglecting/denying the importance of - PLEASE do so.?
