Hey everyone, on October 16th the Kingman Area Meth Coalition is having a walk away from drugs & keep Kingman safe expo. Do we want to look into it so maybe we can have a booth set up to get more exposure? I think this would be a great idea, it will be just a couple weeks after the parade, and after the article in the Kingman miner. The more exposure we get the better. It was a very good meeting last night. thank you to everyone who joined us for the discussions we had. there was a lot of talk about the upcoming training, parade and the exercise in the next couple weeks. As always, we could use more team members, help us get the word out so the team can grow. I know that everyone has a life outside of NABR and that those obligations must be fulfilled, All I'm asking is that when the opportunity arises that you help us with referring people to this growing organization. As we all know, NABR is just a baby and wants to grow. That can only happen with new members who will take this emergency response program seriously. Last night part of the conversation was about the interview we had with the Kingman Miner Newspaper. The exposure we are going to get from the article that is going to be published can go a very long way to increasing the membership into our team. Once the article is published, we can all use it to help promote the importance of NABR, this can be done in different ways. One of the ways is to use the article as a topic of discussion, another way is to use it as bragging rights, another is to show people the article and boast about the people who are involved in the organization that are going to make a difference. There's several ways to use the article to the advantage of NABR. Thanks again everyone for showing up last night, it is and always will be greatly appreciated Dean

Everyone… I have been on the phone with Mike Browning after receiving an email from him. There is an exercise drill that is scheduled for September 26th. This is a real drill, not a Q and A session. I have more info to pass in to everyone regarding this drill, so we need everyone to be at the meeting this Monday the 9th of September. ATTENTION EVERYONE: We have been asked asked to do an interview with an influential business on Monday September 9th at 3:00 at centennial park. This interview is an opportunity for very good exposure for NABR. Helping us set up for POTA would be appreciated, also we could use team members present for the interview and a photo op, we will still have the meeting at bank street guns at 6pm like normal.

A new chat has been created: This month is an important month for NABR. There’s several things that are going on. We have the interview and our team meeting this next Monday, the interview is at centennial park at 3:00 pm and the team meeting at Bank Street Guns (thank you Ben for the room) as always it a 6:00 meeting. Then there is the training with Bob Lyons on Saturday the 14th. The training will be as listed here Radio Programming (bring charged handheld and manual) ICS Forms (205, 213, 214) How to set up WINLINK (bring laptop) Use of Anderson Power Poles (Standard power connection in Auxcomm) We will also have to set up Billy’s truck with the banner, magnetic signs, he is putting some lights on to get attention for the parade. It’s going to be a busy month for us. We need to get the NABR name out there so we can grow and bring new members in. First of all there has been a change of location. It will be in Bank Street Guns complex but will be held on the opposite end of the building, in the Deli Shop. Still at 6pm on the coming Monday the 5th of August. We will be going over the meeting we had with Mike Browning, Bob Lyons and a few other people on July 18 2024. I have made another Facebook page for NABR. Its Northern Arizona Backup Response (NABR) This page is a public page. The reason for the new page is so we can get exposure throughout Facebook which is easier to do. We need to get people to our web page at http://nabr.website so that NABR can begin to grow and hopefully get some donation. By getting donations that allow for equipment and possibly a trailer down the road. I will be posting the web page and the Facebook page other ham radio sites here on this platform.
