Lou Keim
4
Good afternoon, all – I received a communication from Lou Keim‘s sister with a request. Various communications are being sent out to the NABB member group as well as Burmese groups, and Lou email address is still on that list of recipients. I believe it is Burmesecat@.... As you know, Lou died recently, and the communications are being sent to his sister. She asked if I could request that the address – name – be removed from the list, And it is being sent to her now. She appreciates your help with this, and wishes all the Burmese people the very best. If anyone has any questions, please contact me and I can clarify. Diana -- Diana Wilder dianamwilder1@...

One last call for Grand photos for NL
4
Sorry for the delay on the winter NL. I've had some personal issues that have consumed most of my time. Along with a litter of 5 kittens that I'm tube feeding every 3 to 4 hours. My queen only has milk in 3 nipples. If anyone has any advice on getting her milk to come in the other mammary chain, I'd appreciate it. The kittens turned 2 weeks old today. I'm shooting to get the NL out next week. Happy New Year! Brian

Letter from famous Burmese breeder Doris Springer
11
While packing and cleaning and getting ready to move out west, I found some great Burmese history items, including this letter from Doris Springer of Yindling's Burmese. I am not sure of the date of this article, but the other items I found were dated 1969 to 1972. Enjoy the funny Rules PDF too. Brian

[CFABurmeseBC] [NABBMembers] Letter from famous Burmese breeder Doris Springer
Sounded like Doris Springer was a Judge (CFA?) Am I correct? % points isn't much for something as important as a breed signature eye color. I favor 10 points. Sylvia Chipp Insall Arab'n Nts Burmese

breed council membership
It is time to renew your breed council membership. This year you can do it for two years (no cost savings but at least it's done) Here is the link to renew. https://cfa.org/cfa-breed-councils/ Applications are accepted May 1 to August 1. If you know a breeder who is not a member please encourage them to join. We WILL be voting on extending our sable Bombay and Tonkinese outcross programs.

Spokane Breed Council & NABB Meeting/Awards
9
Karen Thomas has sent out a similar call to the Burmese Breed Council. We do plan to have our annual BC and NABB meetings at the CFA Annual Meeting on June 20 in Spokane, WA. The logistics of transporting the NABB rosettes and GoD awards are not trivial. If you are in the Top 10 of kittens, premiers and champions at the end of April we would have an award for you. But, I’d really rather not take all of them to Spokane for people who for sure will not be there, or do not have someone they can designate to collect them. I would be willing to mail them, but you will need to pay postage. If we could mail several in the same box (attn: mes amis Canadiens) that would be even better (and cheaper for you). Meanwhile, CFA has asked us (as a probable small group) to not schedule a meeting room but congregate elsewhere if possible. So we really need a good head count of who will be there, might be there, or for sure won’t be there. If you will not be there, please let me know if someone will collect your award or if you prefer it be mailed. I know there is some degree of uncertainty, so we can revisit at the end of April but we have to let CFA know about meeting space now.

If I don't attend I will have my rosette shipped to Chris June's house. Chris and I were only going if I got the BW for Tallulah. Christine

Call for NABB Officer Nominations
6
The constitution and by-laws for the National Alliance of Burmese Breeders call for us to nominate and vote on officers in even-numbered years. Accordingly, this is your official call to solicit nominations for our 3 offices: President, Secretary, and Treasurer. I have not asked the incumbents whether they would like to continue to serve. What I would request is that you nominate whoever you wish for those 3 offices, including self-nominate, then we will ascertain if the person is willing to serve if elected if you have not already checked with them. Please send all nominations to our Secretary, Kathy Rutledge (browyns@...) by February 29, 2020. Kathy will put together a ballot and all active NABB members (i.e., that are current with dues as of March 31, 2020) will be asked to vote. The new officers will take over at the annual NABB meeting, to be held in conjunction with the CFA Annual meeting, in Spokane WA on June 20. Thanks for your participation, Vivian Baylor NABB President

Grand photos
2
Congratulations to any of our recent Burmese Grands. I saw a few on the CFA Almanac. Sorry, I don't have the extra time to send out specific emails with all their names, etc. But if your cat recently granded and you want to share their photo and pedigree with your fellow NABB members, please send me their photo. I can pull the cat's pedigree offline so no need to send me that unless it's not online. Thank you Brian

Arab'n Nts Burmese
2
I have been a member of NABB off & on for several years. Just recently rejoined when I obtained Panthat Great Balls of Fire, otherwise known as "Jerry Lee". He is doing great in the show ring, now at age nine. He is currently third best cat in Premiership in the Gulf Shore Region. He loves to show! At the same time I aquired Elessar Charlotte of Arab'n Nts. She was unsuccessful in breeding & has been spayed, so she will soon be shown in Premiership.
