Looks like I jumped the gun. Before I got this message I tried to get the program running. First, it ask me to register the program. I have no idea what it wants to get the program registered. So I put my name and my former call sign in the space provided. It came back with the message," wrong register key. I hit proceed and the Starting window came up. It then sent the following error message,"11/20/2008 is not a valid date". Got any ideas on how to fix this? I sent Dean a message about a week ago but have yet to get a response. Dean is a very responsible person, so something is going on to cause his not answering my message. Charlie K4SHA

After down loading the program, I get this message: 11/20/2008 is not a valid date. Trying to correct this error makes the program quit. I emailed Dean over a week ago but have yet to get a response. Dean is very reliable and respones in a timely manner. So he must have something going on that is making his response slower. After hearing Dean and others say how they have automated there qsl-ing, and being so tired of hand writing each one, I decided to try (again)’. I lost my old PC where I had tried before so am starting from scratch. The download link gets me the pdf instructions, but the executable wont download. It did finally using a different browser but said it might be vile and sent me to a site to talk about it. Grrrr. Any clue how I get the file or is it no longer offered? Sent from Mail for Windows

Groups io said I had joined but no emails have come thru, there records show nothing for months. Might not be active anymore. I did finally go to alpinesoft.com/files and found the executable and attempted to download it that way. It brought up 2 different warning messages but I proceeded anyway and finally got it. Then clik to install and it wont as Im not in possession of a good registration key. I clik register and zippo. Just not working for me. I just want to automate the printing of my qso’s….. it shouldn’t be this hard to get something going should it? I guess the new pc with Win 11 and me just somehow are sideways….. I wonder if this group is still used? I've got a new computer, just to use for ham radio.I'm trying to install CCLog, and with Windows 11, it keeps breaking the install. It is trying to create a folder called RTM Flags: promptifolder and Windows is saying it is an invalid folder name. Has anyone put CCLog on Windows 11 yet? Doug N3VEJ

When a logged contact is operating Fixed, no value is stored in the Contacts.Mobile field. When I try to display this on my card, I get something like "I was Fixed in TX, you were in FL" I would like to have my card show a value for their mode as 'fixed' rather than just an empty field. It's a minor cosmetic annoyance - but I'm kinda picky about my cards.. I could add 'Fixed' manually in the contact record, but I have to take it out after printing the cards. I also tried creating a second card with the word 'Fixed' hard-coded and have different queries for each card, but that's a bit of a pain when you want to make a change and need to update two cards etc. I was trying to work around this by adding to the query, the SQL expression IsNull(Contacts.Mobile,'Fixed') but that doesn't seem to be accepted Any thoughts on how to accomplish this ? 73 Frank - KK5XX

Recently downloaded and set up log. Works well. Two questions: 1) How do I pick and choose which stations I want to QSL at any given time? Is there a way to select 4, 8 or 12 stations to QSL?? I imported 96 QSOs from Netlogger and N7XG logger wants to QSL all. I know I am missing something here. 2) I have a general log and would like to transfer my contacts in the N7XG logger to that log periodically preferably by exporting an ADIF file. I imported 96 QSOs from Netlogger to the N7XG logger and I can't figure how to exclude them from my export. Again I am likely missing something obvious. George K4GM

Hello All, The wizard might already tell me this but thought I'd ask here first. What fields get imported when doing an excel import? Luckily I've only been on the 3905 nets about a week so i don't have a lot to import but enough I don't want to type them in manually.

Just finished down loading the CCNLogger. First error. A pop up asking for my registration number. Where does that come from, Dean? Getting pass that point it then say my call sign has not been set. Yet when I try to do it another error msg pops up, such as "11/20/2008 is not a valid date" Yet there has not been any data loaded! Thats a started for noe. If I can get past those errors I might not get any more. t's been a few years since I've been on the net. My XYL says I have to start using my voice more, not so much digital. 73, Charlie K4SHA

Dean, I know I had run across this issue a few years ago but I forgot what the fix was. When I do the FCC Update it tells me I don’t have enough space on my hardrive. I really hope the FCC update is not larger 3.12 TB. Thank you, Charles (AC0HF)

Dean, Logger 5.04.01 After creating a station configuration with all fields filled, and then selecting it when starting to monitor a net, my "mode" (fixed, mobile, portable status) isn't recorded when a contact is logged. Also, when choosing to monitor a net, there doesn't seem to be any place to enter the state if mobile other than to first create a new station configuration. Am I missing something? 73 de Jim, KB3PU

Dean, 1st) I can't figure out how to set up my email for the logger, so when I get a trouble report, it won't send. I installed the 5.04.02 update, and when I try to close the "Contact Edit" window, I get a warning: "Cannot focus a disabled or invisible window". If I try to email the report, it says that my email isn't set up and it won't close the "Contact Edit" window. I have to end the program. I copied the report to my clipboard and will add it to the end of this message. So the question is How do I set up my email? 2nd) I want to update my station configuration but it won't accept my changes. A while back I got it to accept the IC-7300 radio, but I don't remember how I did it. I want to be able to select either the 7300 or the 706, and either my Cobweb or the G5RV antennas. I've tried File-System Options and I've tried the little button next to the Station Config: in the Contact Edit window. I can enter the info but it won't save it with either the Check Mark or the Refresh buttons. What am I doing wrong? 3rd) I am using the logger for my Non-Club activities. When I receive a card from someone, I like that I can print out one for return. The only thing I can't add is the mode if it is OTHER than CW, SSB or RTTY. I have an FT8 contact that I was able to put the SN report in (-02s - -06r) but it won't accept the FT8 mode. I also do Olivia and PSK31 (that on is in the logger). Is there a way for me to add modes to the selection list? Here is the trouble report for the window problem. When using any of the station configurations, when I make a contacts, all settings are imported into the contact except the 'Mode' field. I tried creating a new station configs, using station configs with different mode values etc with no success on any of them. I'm running 5.04.01 Thanks, Frank

Dean, I was using the premade report – ‘QSL label 8162’ to create a new label, and noticed that the time format was ‘HH:SS’ instead of something like ‘HH:MM:SS’ I fixed it by deleting the field and re-adding it new, which gave me HH:MM:SS I was looking at the DisplayFormat value for the time text box of the original one, and it showed a cutom value of !90:00; - while the new one was blank. Is there documentation on what those numbers and characters represent? Luckily, I caught it before I sent out the 80 cards I printed labels for ?

I've converted my Netlogger database over to N7XGLogger. Can the NetName field be populated by data from the NetName field from Netlogger? I've also run the fix for update problems, but still have no information in the QSL field. I'm running version 5.03.03. Thanks! Paul KD4GUB

I down loaded the latest logger update and when I try to monitor a net in progress, I get this error message "eD Start" is not a valid date. The rest of the logger functions seem to work OK. The logger worked fine until I down loaded the latest up date. I am running Windows 7. Any suggestions as to how to fix this problem would be appreciated.

Hi, Has anyone tried/used the card stock from "HamStuff by W7NN"? If so, do their perforations lines line up with the N7XG 4up cards better than the perfs on the generic stock available from Staples, et al? Inquisitive minds want to know... Steve - N6RSH
