Help with Icom IC-9700 Rig Control for 2025 Winter Field Day

 

Confirmed ports, only one device plugged into the USB Port on the CPU, shows up as COM4 and COM5. The baud rate on the ports and the rig are all 19200.? The settings for rig control are as follows:

Icom 9700
Rig Name = Icom2
Read Frequency Command = FE FE A2 E0 03 FD
Read Mode Command = FE FE A2 E0 04 FD
Convert To Hex = True
Baud Rate = 19200
Parity = None
Stop Bits = 1
Data Bits = 8
Power Option = RTS
?
I get the following messages:

I am hooked into the CIV port to a S.A.T controller, using a USB-B to USB-C cable for the COM port and rig control, I've tried multiple different Baud rates, settings, all of the ICOM choices etcv....?

stumped.....?

Hi Ron,

Thanks for your e-mail.? I'm sorry that you have run into trouble.? Does your rig require installing drivers from Icom's site, so that when connected, it presents as a com port?? If so, have you done that and verified the port selected is the one for your rig?
