Upgrade to Windows 11 Question.
I am very close to ordering a New Windows 11 Hardware / Software. Not happy, but based on some other Software I run on my Windows 10 machine from a Financial Perspective. Everyone seems to be saying...? We will stop supporting you when Microsoft does.? Yea it will work, but limited functionality.? Oh I hate this... I am currently on Windows 10. I am starting to do some Prep work now for ACLOG. I am on the current version of ACLOG, so I went ahead and downloaded the latest installer. I have all my Key's ready. I have a Full Export of my Log to ADIF and will continue to have a current copy. My plan is to move my current Primary Machine next to me, and then Install the New Hardware. Then start re-installing everything. My question is, I had done some Customizations adding a POTA Field to my Main Screen, and I am sure there are others I can't remember.? So is there a File in ACLOG from my current Primary Machine, that I can restore to the "New Install" of ACLOG that will put those changes back, then I just do the Restore of my ADIF Data? I am keeping the Same Monitors, Keyboards, etc...? So it would be great for something like this. Thanks, Keith, K4KAL |
I just went through similar with a new PC build. I couldn't find a way to bring everything over so I just did the "other" fields. I am not sure if you were to copy the files from within each folder over if that would work or not. I really liked my current layout and it has been like it is for many many years. I am curious to know if copying the files over will work. Can't wait to see some replies from this post.?
?
Best of luck

H Keith, Thanks for your e-mail.? You will find the steps for transferring your customized settings here: In addition, also copy the customized layout you created (or downloaded) for your POTA activity.? It will be the file with the .efl extension.
