Rig interface stopped working on my Yaesu FT-710

Ken KN2D All Messages By This Member #63282 After using the CQ WW log this weekend (and loving it), I went back to ACLog this morning and the rig interface function has stopped working. ? Even after reloading a previously saved version that I know did work, I can't figure out how to restore the settings. ? I use the rig interface mostly for the DX Spotting, to quickly go to the DX station's frequency and mode. ? What am I missing? ? 73, Ken KN2D

Since rig interface is working in CQ WW, from CQ WW's rig interface form, click the Save Settings button while you are polling your rig (make sure your frequency updates and you turn your VFO).? Then start AC Log and click the Load settings button (at the left below the rig list). Since all these programs were working previously and you've not made any changes to the software, you can be sure something external to the software is at play, such as Windows reassigning your com port numbers, a problem with the device driver for your OS (provided by the rig manufacturer if applicable), a cable becoming unseated, a problem with the interface hardware or the rig itself. Did a Windows Update change your COM port Number?, or was the USB cable unplugged then re-plugged resulting in a different COM port number? ?
