Hello Savi,
?
Clearly I do not speak for Scott nor his team.? What I say is just my opinion.

Request #1
?
in your first comment you request that the grid be updated to "reflect the location updated in the grid field."? Which grid field are you talking about?? If you mean QRZ grid that will not work.? The grid listed in QRZ is related to where my residence of record is.? I do not update this grid every time I operate away from my residence.? That field is a constant until I move to a new residence of record in my FCC record.
?
If you mean the grid that I use in an operating log such as at POTA, SOTA, or portable how do you get that field propogated by the op?? Are we to send the grid in every contact?? Even if not required in the exchange?? I see this as a huge programming issue; not to mention re-training every operator to always send the grid of where they are.? I noted that we have each other in the log many times; as recently as last Saturday during the 7QP.? I do not recall you sending your Grid during that event.
?
It seems that you want to "pull" the grid from somewhere.? What mechanism do you have in mind to "push" the grid to a location where it can be retrieved?? I often operate where there is no internet access.? How do operators "push" their grid to a location when they have radio only access from their location?? Who will host the grids where operators are currently?? I know operators who stop for a lunch break while driving to Quarztfest and will push up an antenna during that quick stop.? They may work some CW or FT8 POTA contacts from there.? How do they push their grid into the host database so that you can pull that info?
?
When I chase a POTA or SOTA (I chase and activate POTA a lot) I find the location of the activator on the website and that tells me where they are.? I can manually enter their grid if I need it to be accurate.? But having access to the website requires that I have internet access and if I am activating I often do not have such access.

Request #2
I have used Scott's software since the early 2000's.? I have no problem with the frequency as used.? I know that some radios display info differently I also know that some events ask for certain time or frequency format.? If Scott tried to code for every permutation of frequency that users might request this would be a coding and support nightmare.?
?
?
Please do not take offense at my asking some clarifying questions.? I just do not see how this request can be met.
?
respectfully
