Hi everyone,
Many folks are including prior emails in their posts.? This clutters the reader's screen.? When reviewing posts in the groups.io window, one can choose to view the thread history.? Thus, including the referenced message itself is not necessary.
I understand that members can post messages by "reply"ing to an email from the group.? If you post messages that way, simply delete the prior content before sending the email.
Please review the posting guidelines in this group's "Description" page.
If you don't like one of them, or if you don't like the group description or would like to broaden or narrow the scope of material discussed here, that's fine.? Just launch a thread to discuss the item of concern.? If we all want to change something about our forum, let's do it.
It takes time for me to edit all these messages to remove the extraneous content.? Please be respectful of my time.

Interesting, in another google group I am in, I think there is a setting that makes it so ?every reply has no previous information.?

In a thread with anything more than a few replies, it becomes vary hard to tell who is responding to whom and what.?

I, and some but not all others on that list, put some effort into cutting and pasting the text that we are responding to, which I find a little tedious and kludgy, being different from the experience of having a conversation over standard email.

I personally find that a lot of extraneous inclusions, as long as they are below, not at all distracting and in fact useful.?
