Just finished a 99% refit...all new paint, inside and out, new deck fittings, new cleats, new venting, redone brightwork, all new running rigging, etc.? Learned a ton and had fun, other than painting with Interlux Perfection 2-Part.? Stay AWAY from that stuff! Here are a few before and after pics.

Beautiful!? I'd love to know some details, as my boat needs some work too.? One of my next tasks is to add some venting.? I was scheming a way to make a vent with PVC elbows from the hardware store because marine hardware is so expensive, but I don't have a solution yet.? How did you do it?? The vent on the foredeck looks great; where did you get it?? I intend to put a fan to draw air in from the front, and put a louver vent into the hatch cover as an outlet.? The fan would run from a solar panel so that airflow is the highest when the outside air is most likely to be dry.? Are you using a fan?? So many more questions, but what really needs to happen now is for you to go sailing!

Try looking at some boat junk yards.? some of the inboard outboards had engine vents similar to what you are looking into.??
