UPDATED/CORRECTED? I completely rebuilt my codeplug (in Contact Manager) as I had noticed that ZONE lists were corrupted with channels being in them that were not supposed to.
I imported into the 878 CPS and noticed, when I went to add 2 new channels, that the list was again corrupted.
I checked the Contact Manager file and it was correct so this occurs during import.
A number of the scan lists in the CPS are corrupted. The easiest ones to spot are an analog scan list that has DMR channels in because of the naming conventions I use:? DMR start with 2-letter state and 2-letters for the location. Analog list the frequency.
?
This has been?an issue for some time.? ie its been occurring?for a year or more just never did an entire cleanup.
I checking the firmware and CPS I noticed that I am not current so I'll try this first but as I mentioned this has been a problem for a while so wondered if any others have experienced.
?
As a disclaimer of sorts I have around 3700 channels as the codeplug is good for about 10 states.
?
CPS 3.02
878UVii? per the settings but 878UVii Plus on the back (which is what I bought it as)
Firmware?3.01

As a "test" I imported the same codeplug from Contact Manager into my existing 578 CPS (ver. 1.21) and it ALSO corrupted the zone lists.? I discovered its the zone that is getting corrupted (I did the 878 2 days ago)??
Here's a sample - this is a NC DMR zone so all the channels should start NC - there doesn't seem to be a pattern for what is imported randomly.
|
OK I just loaded the latest CPS from Anytone (which lists as 1.20 but I had 1.21).
Imported the same uncorrupted file from Contact Manager and had the same result - random channels added to zones
|
I always made my code plugs in Excel .contact manager every time I've ever used it destroyed my code plug somehow.

It appears it’s an importing error.? I’ve spent the last hour going through both my 878 & 578 and it is actually both zone and scan lists that are being corrupted.? There is no pattern I can see. Some are fine and some are not. It does appear the more channels the original zone has the less likely it is to corrupt.?
I’ve used contact manager for probably close to 10 years. ?I’m not sure when this problem started as zone zones I don’t use regularly, only when tracking, and that’s when I noticed errors in the past. I’ve spent the past 2+ weeks doing a major cleanup so these errors really stood out this time. ?

Greetings,
?
Can you send me the following information:
?
- Model and Version of AnyTone CPS you are using;
- Version of Contact Manager in use (hopefully the latest);
- Steps I can take to replicate your problem. (If there’s a codeplug file involved, please share it.)
?
With this information in hand I should be able to determine what’s going wrong for you.

not sure how that happened.? Here's another save of the file that opens OK. The dcf was created from CPS before I did all the updates in the CM.

I did go through the CPS file and fix most of the scan and zone lists so if you want that version let me know.? I'm going to guess if you take my 'fixed' cps, export to dcf and then re-import to CPS you'll get the same errors
