I recently bought two sets of Pullman plan 3523 (6 Compt 3 DR) sides, to convert two 12-1s since MicroTrains isn’t making any all room cars. ?

Has anyone else used them? ?Any lessons I can take away from your work?

I built the 6-3, 14 section and 8-1-2 kits a couple of years ago.?
the photo etching is nicely done. I seem to recall the biggest challenge was gluing the delicate beltline.
I used ACC to glue up the sides and acetone to clean things up.?
Other than that, since the parts are delicate, i took my time.?

These will used for a Santa Fe Grand Canyon train (someday). The 6-3 isn't the correct configuration for my consist but given the lack of options i'm using modelers license.?
In the photo the roofs are not glued in place (yet) since the tabs no longer work and I'm (been) debating adding figures.
they also have steam ejection air conditioning details added from Shapeways.?

Bruce Arbo had a number of tutorials using M&R sides several years ago. I'm not sure where they're located at this point, but they were very helpful in approaching this type of project.
