Clarification RPO Details
The Southern RPO "steps/grabs" in question were:
60 inches wide (.375 N) and two steps. and 32 inches (.20 N) and two steps. It didn't seem to match the GMM (160-26) ?Here is a pic of the "narrow" doorway: I'm also curious about use... along side? the doors is a vertical grab but only one side .. which suggests the car "orientation" i consist was designated? (most probably to insure mail hook mounted to work... so the actual use would be grab the vertical to allow "body/foot orientation to position on step for a moving car.? But some photos of other roads show vertical grabs on BOTH sides. Thanks for your comments, suggestions and? time. Gordon |

It looks to me that there was a grab iron on both side. of the narrow mail room door.
Assuming that the 60" wide steps were under a wide door, wasn't this really a baggage-RPO car?

The steps on Micro Trains' 60' RPOs are 30 scale inches wide and probably about as good as it get for the mail room doors, if they are available as separate parts.
I have no ideas about where to get 60" wide steps.
