Putting an "internal" FET on an electret capsule
I have several 25mm Chinese electret capsules without internal FETs. How do I add a FET to one to make it like the TSB2590A?? And can I use any FET to do it ?? ? ?Also , In another topic I see an SMD circuit board being used. Are these available from PCBWAY or are they not commercially available??
?
Thanks.... Charles |

You're basically looking for something like the Alice circuit and its many variants, those all do specify which FET to use.? And the FET for the Alice circuits will work for many other circuits such as SimpleP48. As long as the capsule is an electret, ie internally polarized, you just need a FET and usually also a 1Gohm resistor. Thanks, -Scott On 8/31/24 16:31, Charles Clark via groups.io wrote:

开云体育Thank you for your reply. What I am looking for is a way to solder a FET directly to the capsule like in the TSB2590 so I can use it like Jules did in the fur ball stereo Mic build that plugged directly into his camera without 48 volt phantom power. Only I want to use just one capsule and plug it into my phones 3.5 Mic jack.? Sent using Zoho Mail ---- On Sun, 01 Sep 2024 09:50:06 -0400 scott@... wrote ----
