More bodies from Amazon.
USB "414-ish" style mic. This one works. Not easy to fit an XLR connector to. Probably would need to hang the XLR on a short pigtail. The works inside are USB only, but correctly implemented. The area for a circuit board is a different shape than tubular BM-800 or "U-87" bodies, and OPA Alice circuit boards don't fit. $17.99 today.
This is a weird one. A smallish "U-87" style body with 34mm cardioid-only capsule, Schoeps type circuit, a bit heavier than the average BM-700. The weird bit is the included stuff. It costs $49.99 with hard case, soft pouch, metal shock mount, and wind screen. Today the mic alone costs $99.99 without the extras, just the mic. Yesterday, the plain mic was $49.76 on sale. Pyle branded. I canna ken Amazon's pricing structure.
I picked up a pair of each to play with. I'll write up what I find in my blog. I see the ZRAMO TH901 (BM-700 style) are back in stock in black paint. Those have been my go-to body donors for the last couple of years.
