Ray,
L201 in the Realistic PRO-30 is just listed as "Coil, DC/DC Convertor".? The Radio Shack part number is CA-8694 and the MFR's part number is 6PNO-196.? Not too helpful.

Ray,
The PRO-30 schematic shows a tapped winding with 3 leads.? The TCA720 looks to be a boost converter designed to put out about 33V from a 4.5-18V supply.? For this application, they want a lower voltage, so they used a tapped inductor get about 25V at the tap while the chip sees more like 33V across the full winding.? The data sheet shows 5 millihenry for the example inductor value.

Is it a single winding, tapped or more than one winding? Neil On Sun., Aug. 11, 2024, 11:04 a.m. John Gord via , <johngord=[email protected]> wrote:

It'll be no fun figuring that out without a good working example. Otherwise I suspect you'd have to reverse engineer it. Ouch! Neil. On Sun., Aug. 11, 2024, 3:28 p.m. John Gord via , <johngord=[email protected]> wrote:
