Mach3 mill stopped in the middle of a job.
开云体育Er, who me...? ? ? Yes, I have to admit to being on version number 5. A K1, these things keep getting better. ? Now whenever I <need ?> to make something I am torn between all the different ways I can do it. The cnc lathe still gets it’s share. ? Yup, 3d printers stole a lot of air from the room. ? Art ? ? 开云体育Hi Art, Joe is doing all sorts of interesting things.? He never did buy an ELS from me because he went straight to MACH3 on his lathe.? I enjoy visiting him and seeing whatever new project he is doing.? He’s a very busy guy. John Dammeyer ? From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Joe Macmurchie

I think you can credit a lot of the slowdown to Yahoo.? Since they shitcanned the groups, it is difficult to keep up with any pursuit (including Mach)..

开云体育Don’t overlook the simple obvious dumb stuff. ? I once found a laser cutter I hadn’t used for a while was completely dead.? Had removed most of the electronics before realising I’d forgotten to turn off the emergency switch (which I always hit when finished).? Geez. ? Once at work a few of us spent a while diagnosing an unresponsive server, someone did ask “Is it plugged in?” (of course it was) but on checking I found the network cable wasn’t.? Gah. ? Tony ? ? 开云体育CMOS circuitry is usually good for triggering down to 2v, so the 3.5v Chuck is reading should be enough.? Probably not the issue, however I have had situations where if running of 5v then the trigger voltage was about 4.5v, so maybe.? I wouldn’t rule out a dodgy board or power supply, but put it a fair way down the list. ? Tony ? ? From: [email protected] <[email protected]> On Behalf Of Peter Homann

The PMDX breakout boards are quality boards, well designed and will most certainly be using 74ACT or other buffers that are capable of dealing with 3.3V voltages.? ? Cheers? ? 开云体育Peter, Steve Stalings just gave me some new jumper settings on the PMDX board that allowed me to get my machine running In spite of the lower voltages, ?Which supports your input.? As I understand Steve, the settings I currently have will bypass my charge pump and Estop, so I need to get that corrected.? Thank you for your input, Chuck? ...kind of late to this thread here.... just saw someone with issues...? ...? I've been running a PMDX-126, with Geckos.... have the remote panel for the PMDX as well, mounted up at the users station (reset emo indicators etc) so lots of long cable runs down to the control box under the table. I've never seen voltage level issues as long as you shield stuff correctly.? I've probably well over 1,000 hr of run time on my electronics without a single hiccup. Now I DO KNOW that now that I said that out loud...the machine will be DOA next time to power switch is flipped on. |
