Coil Winder

I'd like to wind a few coils.
I seem to remember that there used to be an add-on (or some such) to wind coils using Mach3.
Is there a repository for all things coil winder? Where I can get an idea what is involved?

My memory Mach/coil winding is the monthly question of ???head honcho of Mach4??? regarding when the updated coil winding screen would be finished. The answer was always some flavour of “real soon now”. I removed myself from the Mach mailing list so can’t help.

We did make a Mach4 winder screen. I’m not sure where the Mach3 one is at this time.

I have been winding coils and strange shaped spring using Mach3-milling and a 4th axis Stepper for driving the coil.

It gives perfect control of the coil x-y-z control of the wire feed nozzle.? It even allows to do the termination automatically on bigger coils.

It was all hand coded.

Edited

I have a mach4 license and have it installed. But I continue to use Mach 3 for various reasons. I'd give it a try again if required.

So to answer the question:

Where is all the info kept on the topic??

The coil winder screen is packaged in a profile. Please have a look on this webpage.?

Thanks

Ok. Thanks. I'll check it out. Is there any documentation - perhaps in the download or maybe a thread from the past dealing with it's usage.

Thanks

I don't remember doing any docs for it. it was done a few years ago (I think). If you have any issues the support guys worked with users to make it what it is so they have worked on it.
