Hi,
? ?I bought a used cnc and can't get the spindle to turn on.? It's a Boss cnc router 10hp spindle.? It has mach3 installed on it but no other info.? I've watched a lot of tutorials and changed some of the inputs and outputs etc trying to get it to run.? I can manually move x y z.? I can run g code.? But no spindle.? The fan on top of the spindle is working.? ? I can turn the spindle on directly at the vfd, which is a V1000.? The machine is 3 phase running off a 30 hp converter.? The auto tool spindle release and clamp are acting in reverse, clamp drops the bit, release holds the bit.?? ? ? The drill block does turn on and off manually, the drill block is turning the correct direction.? Since the drill block and spindle turn the correct? direction I dont think the 3 phase power is the issue. ? Any help would be greatly appreciated.? Thank you |
开云体育Sounds like you need to reverse the “Active Hi/Active Lo” setting for the Auto tool spindle release. That should stop it from acting backwards. ? 开云体育If you want to just get started, I would recommend reversing the hi/lo as Andy recommended, and consider toggling the spindle manually. I know it isn't ideal, but a lot of good parts have been made without machine control of the spindle. Thayer On 1/27/21 11:35 PM, Andy Wander wrote:

is it possible there is an internal interlock that disables the

How do I tell how the spindle is controlled?? What should I look for?? ? The VFD says "0.0 "on the display.? ? I tried toggling spindle on off thru diagnostics and mdi pages.? ? I hear a click of a relay when I manually hit spindle button when I have unchecked the spindle tab in motor outputs but it still doesnt work.? I have tried to run the spindle without the tool in the spindle and with the tool in the spindle.? Clamped and released.? Neither work.? ?? |
开云体育If I understand you correctly, in the diagnostic screen you can toggle the spindle button and presumably you will see the LED output diagnostic also toggle and you hear a relay switching. Yes,? here's where I'm at.? I fixed the reversed tool clamping issue with the information provided by others here.? Thank you.
I just manually turned on the spindle and tried to control rpms or turn off thru mach3 but that didnt do anything to the spindle speed.? I do not know if my spindle is controlled by a relay or something else.? I've read about modbus, etc.? I can take pictures of the electronics and the settings if that helps |
