It's been an interesting few days since we started discussing the matter. Lots of comments but nothing providing any hope of counting on the use of 3952kHz. We will, therefore be making some

Macs Monday Morn
K8ED took the net on 7233 a minute or two past ten. Passed me a piece of traffic for Columbus in St. Clair Co. Nobody else on freq. Never heard you Pete if you attempted to check in. K8DLW

Re: interference on 3950
I am looking at this situation through the eyes of the FCC and the Volunteer Monitoring Program.. If I were "them"- I would have a transceiver set to 3950 and one to 3952. I would record the

MACS
Well, it's Monday. Joe's in the Bikini State, so no net. I looked here and zip. Then scrolled 3920 to 3960. Absolutely clear. Not a sound Then moved to 72325 and scrolled to 7260 and back to 7220.

Re: interference on 3950
But most do not use the reflector- Perhaps a wider distribution of this to the general ham population is needed? If folks do not know where we are, no newbies come by - Hence we don't grow in

Re: interference on 3950
I know in my case, continued bad regional communications has made me less likely to appear on the nets at all- And when I need extra time to? select a freq, monitor it and issue it on the reflector

Re: interference on 3950
I think 3950 +/- can work if the NC properly posts on the Reflector. Too many times someone refuses to post a move, then people have to guess where the net is. I hope somehow all will smooth

Re: interference on 3950
Well, it looks like the time change idea is a non-starter so let's forget that. I can, indeed, hear those guys, if they are transmitting. I have no trouble hearing the whiner when he comes up ib

Re: interference on 3950
Next thought.. if most don't care to bother looking- maybe they don't want to really be here. Can't make somebody do something that they don't want to do. ________________________________ Sent:

Re: interference on 3950
The reflector seems to work out well for MACS. It opened this morning at 7245, somehow everybody found the net. I just kept turning the VFO up band and would have found the net, even without the

Re: interference on 3950
That's why we have a reflector at our disposal... Good for mass communications. Not that we have many check-ins anymore, but if PGW is unwilling to cause willful interference and not check-in at all,

Re: interference on 3950
If we move too far from 3.952 LSB then most won't know where we moved to- Or bother looking- That is what killed off the GLETN many years ago-? That change if permanent will need to have? a wide
