? 1.? Was Zelensky smart to tell Vance that diplomacy was a bad idea?
Zelensky and Trump in a meeting reminds me of the chicken and the pig at a ham and eggs breakfast - the chicken is interested and the pig is committed. 2.? Did you watch Trump's speech to Congress Tuesday night? Parts - I was also watching a really good basketball game.? ?Generally I thought the Democrats were idiots and Trump is a master of hyperbole 3.? Will tariffs raise retail prices? Slightly? - but if corporate income taxes were eliminated and all revenue taxed at the point of expenditure the who system would make more sense 4.? How much of national spewnding do you think is wasteful/fraudulanr? Probably fifty percent wasteful and twenty five percent fraudulant.? The only thing in the federal budget that is mandatory is the interest on the national debt which currently is about fifty percent of individual tax receipts. 5.? Do you think the world economy will be worse off or better off at the end of the current year than it was at the end of the previous year? Worse.? The disaster of the Biden presidency is going to come home to roost. ? |
1.? Was Zelensky smart to tell Vance that diplomacy was a bad idea? I did not witness that comment and so do not have a directly related opinion. Having said that, I am not at all sure that the entire scene was not staged and that Zelensky was not playing a role in a larger plan. No proof but he has not seemed so clueless throughout this crisis and so I have to wonder if some international shenanigans are not afoot. There is a lot of money in Ukraine and Trump?likes money... 2.? Did you watch Trump's speech to Congress Tuesday night? Yes. Unusual for me, but I did see most of it just because?it was on the TV while I was playing a game. I was impressed with the spectacle as it was the most lucid and effective Trump speech I have been witness to.? 3.? Will tariffs raise retail prices? As I understand the topic in an admittedly limited way, it seems inevitable for some retail prices. This is not a big concern compared with the questions of which prices, for how long and to what end result? 4.? How much of national spending do you think is wasteful/fraudulent? WHen I was way younger, I remember a story of a $500 (or was it $50 in those days?) Pentagon claim for a hammer. I cannot speak to the veracity of either the memory?or the alleged report, but I remember being unsurprised. I suspect a good deal of the money?flowing in and around the government(s) is lining private pockets and special?interest coffers. I believe it is not historically unique to the U.S. I am a student of human?nature and when an individual has to choose?between public duty, idealism or hedging personal and family security and comfort, it is a very easy step into darkness...
5.? Do you think the world economy will be worse off or better off at the end of the current year than it was at the end of the previous year? If there still is an economy, it will likely be in its golden years along with the entire present social system. The word "sustainable" has been used often of late to describe energy sources set up as a sort of perpetual motion machine, but I might extend the use to highlight what modern civilization is not. Even though I?am mostly exposed to U.S.?public drama, I am not totally ignorant of the global?picture. Did I not know better, I would wonder if the global?influencers were not intentionally pushing the human mob toward chaos and war. |
开云体育He was certainly right. It hasn't been working. Off and on... I was busy doing other things. Yes, no doubt about it. It would take a few years to study and figure that out. I don't know about the world economy, but the U.S. economy will be worse. Aloha, Celeste Rogers |
