i have done very limited planetary. I used sharpcap and liked it a lot. I also hear a lot of people like Firecapture.
Gemini works with all of them. Planetary is usually a ton of very short exposures (think like video: many tens of frames a second), so tracking is less critical than for long exposure DSO

You still need pretty good tracking to keep something on a small sensor for a couple of minutes. Typically focal lengths are above 5m and the ROI is a few arc minutes across. You can actually visualize your PE in the video stream at times.
