Yes, my mount is out in the front yard and I live 5 miles outside of town on a dead end dirt road so I don’t see people unless they are lost.. It’s very simple to power up, grab multiple videos of multiple planets, and cover it back up in an hour.. This is why I want to try and “do more”, because it should be equally easy to finish with the planets for the night and move the scope to a DSO and gather subs for an hour or six.. I have been trying to learn and do what little testing I can in the rare bits of nice weather so I will be more readier for the fine California weather in the middle of the year..

I can’t (yet) imagine how much “Fun!” it would be to haul everything somewhere and image.. I will find out someday though..

Now I am trying to figure out a “simpleish” way to determine camera settings for an object that don’t take forever.. These were easy to figure out when imaging at 100 frames per second.. They are rather time consuming at even 1 minute exposures.. But I have a few months, at least, before I will be able to be productive almost daily.. I need to find someone who images with a Sony 178 chip, and few do..

HOWEVER.. The SAME DAY I had round stars in 5 minutes, we learned someone is interested in buying the property we live on and wants to pave our dirt road, which would put a strip of asphalt 20 feet to the west of my scope and completely ruin all my Astronomy.. We will have to move.. Talk about a crushing blow.. Hasn’t happened yet, but it is likely to..
