Gemini 2 Level 6 Instruction Manual/PEC Training

 

Hello All,
? I just installed the Level 6 upgrade on my 9 month old G11G. I qaa having an issue with a large peak to peak RA PE of about 24". I sent the RA axis to Losmandy and they could find nothing that might cause a PE of that magnitude, but they replaced the HP worm just to rule that out.
? Anyway, when they sent the RA axis back, they also sent a new Gemini 2 circuit board with the Level 6 upgrade already installed (their suggestion). The new board is installed now and the hand controller is updated. Everything seems to be working fine on the bench, but it has been cloudy since I received/installed the upgrade. In the mean time, I wanted to read up on Level 6, particularly PEC training. I understand Level 6 is not compatible with PEMPro, but there is a PEC training option in the HC menu. I would like to conduct PEC training when the weather allows, but I can't find any instructions/documentation for Level 6. Does anyone know where I can find the Level 6 instructions, or has anyone installed Level 6 and successfully conducted PEC training/correction? Thanks,

Hi Dave,

There is some testing going on Level 6+ and PEC training in a separate group, with some newer versions of the firmware and PEMPro, as well. So far it's looking very good. I would not recommend that you attempt to program PEC with the older L6.0 firmware that came out last summer.

The newer firmware is nearly ready for general release, but if you can't wait, feel free to join the?GeminiL6PEC group where you can get the latest and the greatest, and maybe you can also help test it once your skies clear up.
