Re: LOSMANDY TITAN LATITUDE LOCK BOLT
I have your Titan's baby brother a GM811G. But I never loosen, nor tighten those. (Mine has the hand screws) Mine have a Nylon or Delron washer under them, so they can slip for my very minor Altitude

Re: LOSMANDY TITAN LATITUDE LOCK BOLT
Hi Henry If you mean altitude? yes that's what you use, but you should just make it snug and hand tight with a hex wrench. You don't need to crank it down. [email protected]> wrote: -- Brian Brian

Re: Hitting my head against the wall...
Hi Joe, Thanks for the heads up. I'll check that everything is JNow, now that I know. I did adjust the lens outward on the front of my Orion 50 mm guide scope last night, and lo and Behold the stars

LOSMANDY TITAN LATITUDE LOCK BOLT
Good Day, I've read some posts here and just want to confirm something.? The bolt marked with the cyan arrow in my picture "attached" is where you would tighten down after adjusting for latitude??

Re: Hitting my head against the wall...
Hi Sonny, Is your pointing off in just one direction, such as RA only or Dec only?? If so, check that your Oldham couplers aren't slipping on the worm shafts. That happens to me every couple of

Re: Introducing myself
Thanks John. Very beautiful setup! I do plan on adding the RA extension to my mount for ease of disassembly as well. By the way, appreciate your note on the Lacerta -- good to know you've had success

This is an active forum indeed! I hope to learn and share along the way from this group, just like you did. Good advice on controlling the urge to tinker :-) I am planning on performing the following

Re: Introducing myself
Thanks Arun. I'm realizing it! With the fires around here, I haven't had a chance to test out the scope & mount yet but I've been using the time to learn the system. I've already received by EFW & ZWO

Thanks for your welcome and your other informative comments in your response, Michael! As for base16 -- it's just a handle that I've used in all online forums and also at work, which is a tech company

Re: AZ8 Bolt thread pitch
That is another appealing thing about Losmandy equipment, all American Standard threads. No cast, and no metric. Just the real deal, Don Steel. (Old time L.A. radio personality.) Happy Observing

Re: Hitting my head against the wall...
Thanks Paul, yep, right mount. I normally do the quick start anyway, just to check I have the correct mount, right Lon/Lat, time and time zone (-7 for my location). That leads me into a cold start,

Re: AZ8 Bolt thread pitch
Thank you Brian, One really nice thing about the AZ8 mount is, no electronics at all. I figured that Losmandy used a standard thread pitch it just makes sense. THANK YOU AGAIN Brian, HAPPY SKIES TO

Re: Maximum weight
Hi John The AP graph (Arun referenced earlier) is a good illustration and fairly accurate for Losmandy as well, just substitute the weight capacity of the G11 for the Mach2. here it is, hopefully

Brian, While you're looking into more details, can you also include piggybacked devices as they effect a greater moment than devices on the saddle.? For example, a hefty guide scope piggybacked on a

sure how that's determined. That's pretty much it. Losmandy specs for max payload is for the Telescope side of the mount, so it does not include the counterweight side or the counterweights. Yes the
