Re: TCP connection
OK, so I think that I'm on to something here. M101 went behind a tree so I had just a few possible targets, each was having it's own issues, so I decided to just play around and test the guess about

Re: TCP connection
You're right, quite the drift. So I'm out tonight and just got one of those wild slews. This time it happened during a plate solve, so it really seems like the same issue that the beta firmware fixes.

i'm not sure how we got from TCP and Indi discussion to this, but absolutely give it a try and love to hear the results jamie.amendolagine@...> wrote: -- Brian Brian Valente portfolio

Re: TCP connection
Seems like this may be the same issue as Magnus found in another post. I'm going to try the beta firmware as that seems to fix it.

Oh, is that a setting in the handset?

Re: TCP connection
i was referring to something else - "stop guiding when slew detected" PHD can send guiding commands and they do not interfere with slewing. or i should say they don't interfere under normal
Re: TCP connection
I'm guiding with PHD2, and do have the option set to not send guide commands, but from the log they are being sent.

Re: TCP connection
What are you using to guide? Usually guiding is unknown to the mount, and it's really up to the guide software to stop guiding on slew (there's an option for that in PHD) but i would not expect

Re: TCP connection
OK so here's the log of the successful slew. I'll post to the indi forum and add the link here. Jamie

Re: TCP connection
I'm going to get a reduced log of the successful slew and post that here. Next I'll post both to the indi forum. I haven't narrowed down which condition triggers it. I'm wondering now though if I

Re: TCP connection
<newNumberVector device='Losmandy Gemini' name='TELESCOPE_TIMED_GUIDE_WE'> sounds like it's an Indi driver issue. have you tried posting to the indi forum? have you been able to determine conditions

I should try and be accurate instead of funny. I'm really not sure I understand the limits very well, but it was definitely not anywhere close to hitting anything, and it seemed to be in a safe

Hi Magnus There was a beta release of firmware put out to address this. You can search the forums here for it, or if you can't find it please drop me a line

Strage issue
Hi guys! So here is "Mr. Strange problems" with a really strange problem. What happens is this: at times the mount simply "runs away" (well, doesn't leave the back yard, but slews to a very strange

Re: TCP connection
So what happened last night was roughly the same. I spent some time doing imaging, everything working just hunky dory. I then do a few slews and things go haywire again. After maybe the third slew the

OK, I caught it in the act with verbose logging last night. And wow that logging is quite verbose. 35G log file! Luckily it happened at the end so I can hopefully snip it down quite a bit. This is an
