Hi Paul,
Thank you for your clear response. Yes I am surprised to find so many cables with so many different pinouts. I am hoping someone who went through this process can make it less painful and

Re: Cable needed: Gemini2 Serial port to USB connection with FTDI.
Ah, I see. You'll need an FTDI-based USB to RS232 adapter, usually with a 9 pin DB9 connector, such as this ( https://www.amazon.com/OIKWAN-Converter-Adapter-Chipset-Windows/dp/B08Q86PFV1 ).

Re: Cable needed: Gemini2 Serial port to USB connection with FTDI.
Hi Roger, what connector is at the output of your FTDI converter? Maybe share the model # so we can look it up.

Cable needed: Gemini2 Serial port to USB connection with FTDI.
Hi,
I am requesting links to sources for the cable for connecting the Gemini2 serial port to USB with FTDI.
I don't mind connecting 2 cables together to make one, but it is difficult to know which

Hi Wayback,
Thank you for the good advice. I connected the Gemini2 USB to my laptop. Device Manager did not make any change. I tried with 2 different cables. So my conclusion is the Gemini2 must have

Re: G11G DEC Stall
Could the old board be sold to someone who would either fix it or use it for parts to repair others?? (I am not the one, but surely it's some use to someone.)

Re: ASIair connection via USB to G11 w Gemini2
I use a Gemini 2 G11G with an ASIAir plus over USB without any connection issues. There are other issues, but USB works fine. I have used ethernet, but with NINA on a Windows PC.

Re: G11G DEC Stall
The problem with a single axis is often caused by the PIC controller (the same one that was programmed with the L6 release). There are two of them, and it's a small SMD chip, not easy to replace
