Something's not adding up.? I need to double check my documented Gemini-2 settings.? I was flipping well past the meridian with the NBs in the 60's. ------------------------ Jim W Phoenix, AZ. USA

Re: Random Gotos during plate solving
Guilherme, Sounds like you are an experienced user, but since the mount is new you should look at software solutions before making any mount adjustments. Since you are using NINA, I assume you are

Re: Meridian Flips and NINA
We have to get this sorted. The flip worked for me during the winter, but now it does not. Most frustrating. Summer months are ok to do a manual flip, but not in the winter when it happens at 3.00 am.

Re: Minimum duration for Pulseguide?
The difference in step size is due to the difference in guide pulse durations between East and West moves. The way Gemini implements a move, via a clock divisor, the step durations in the West and

Re: Changing the servo motor encoders from 256 to 512 or 1024. Any reason not to do this?
The following description is my understanding for the regular gearbox, and will likely change for your 125:1 gearbox. The PEC index is not absolute and rolls over at every worm cycle (6400 steps), so

Re: Changing the servo motor encoders from 256 to 512 or 1024. Any reason not to do this?
To check PEC, you could first confirm that the PEC index rolls over at 32000. You can verify that by going to the web interface, State page, and monitor the RA PEC Pointer while the mount tracks at

Re: Minimum duration for Pulseguide?
When I've had the motors apart, the encoder discs are plainly visible as radial lines.? Since the encoder records the position as an on/off state, there's some quantum state of the motor position.
