Re: Use of Warm-Start with G11/Gemini-1
This does work, Russ. I have a permanent pier set-up and usually loosen the clutches between sessions to load the OTA and then to balance. Just return the OTA to as close as you can to the CWD

Re: Use of Warm-Start with G11/Gemini-1
Russ. I think you can do ?this. ? Just use park mount at home position. ?You set this as home. ? ?Then when you restart.
You can “warm start” or “warm restart”. I think “warm start”

Hi,
I went to the local post office in order to know the EMS cost and dispatch time.? Sadly the EMS service from Japan to most of the countries including the U.S. and Australia is now suspended due

Re: Use of Warm-Start with G11/Gemini-1
Hi Russ!
My short answer would be no. But that is because I've always built a new Alignment (Model) each time I set up.
I do AP, so I've found that although close, things never land close enough to

Re: Strange behavior of my G-11 Gemini-1
Very interesting John.
(If you still have the faulty hand controller, I'd like to get a chance to
repair it. I have repaired at least one other hand unit. Let me know if
you still have it! )

Re: Height of G11G on folding tripod
It will be a reduced number this year, Bill. I'll measure when I set up
there (legs fully extended). My largest scope is an AP130edfGT.
I'll be in touch.

I had the same issue with my Gemini -1. The problem went away when I replaced the hand controller

Use of Warm-Start with G11/Gemini-1
To facilitate mounting and unmounting my Celestron-11, I have been using a tip-in saddle as shown in this photo:
This way I don't have to lift a 35+ pound OTA up to chin height to engage its dovetail

This sounds surprisingly like my last repair in which the extra serial port
had corrosion...or a wire touching. The corrosion was shorting some wires
leading to the CPU thinking it was getting a

Re: Strange behavior of my G-11 Gemini-1
Hi Michael, David and Brendan,
Thank you for your quick reply.? Maybe it's unlikely, but I've asked Losmandy whether there is any upgrade program to Gemini-2.
If such path is not available, I will

If it’s “cycling” it Initially it sounds like the HC “menu” button is stuck or shorted. ? But this does not explain why it reset nor garbage characters. ?Even with a bad battery

Re: Height of G11G on folding tripod
Wes,
Oh man, I’d love to go to the Eldorado SP. When I lived in Austin that was one of my favorites.
If anyone has a G11 with the legs extended and can make the measurement, I’d appreciate it.

Strange behavior of my G-11 Gemini-1
Hi,
My G-11 Gemini-1 system, which is more than 15 years old, showed strange behavior last night.
While capturing the Mars image, suddenly the image went somewhere out of the FoV of my ASI224MC.

Re: Height of G11G on folding tripod
Hi Bill,
You may very well want to add a 12" Pier Extension.
It was a great accessory that also allowed me to extend my safety limits, for greater range of movement, as well as a very convenient

Re: Astronomy software & capture software
Tony,
Part of the answer to your question depends on what you want to do with your equipment. Since you also ask about capture software, I am assuming you want to do astrophotography.
However,
