Re: Problem with Gemini I
Hi Bittor,
The fact that the communications is intermittent seems to point to a poor connection, a cable that's being pulled or snagged on something, or maybe a broken wire/connector that's making an

Re: Polemaster on Losmandy's
I bought the QHY Losmandy adapter for my GM-8 but found the view from there didn't quite clear a local obstruction. So bought the ADM dovetail adapter and clamped it on the dovetail on my GSO RC.

Hi Chip.
I downloaded it from a link on their website. I figured the most stable
software would be found on their site. That said, I just went out there

Re: Polemaster on Losmandy's
Hi Matt,
So you downloaded the free one? There is one listed for like $20 but that seemed risky to me for an app of unknown quality.

Re: Polemaster on Losmandy's
Chip,
I loaded the Android app, yes. It is not (or was not) polished like the PC
software. While it didn't say BETA, I believe it is (or was a year and a
half ago). Some of the text was not English,

Re: Polemaster on Losmandy's
Donnie,
Here is the ADM bracket for the PoleMaster, this one is a prototype, normally a PM camera is mounted the long way not backward over the clamp.

Have you been using the Android PoleMaster app? Does it work? I have not found anybody who has it working on a smartphone yet but if it works I'd use it for sure as I often just want to PA

Hi Donnie,

Re: simple servo motor control
My biggest problem with the Nema motors was finding the flexible couples small enough in diameter to fit. Most are 19/20mm and? and the GM8 needs 14mm. Apparently, I must have found some from Ali

Re: Gemini-1 Alignment Displays Polar Axis Offset (Altitude and Azimuth) in what Units?
Thanks for the reply, Paul. My intuition said that it was in arc-minutes. But the manual says it is in arc-seconds. But I can see from the link you gave that the manual is wrong. Michael has my

Re: Wireless Remote control of the Gemini 2
I can vouch for this approach. It is also a lower power solution for when you are mobile. It will be a learning curve to switch to this though.

Hey Donnie, the Gemini 2 is much easier to use than the Celestron or
iOptron controllers. I am very familiar with both of those controllers.
There is good instruction online for using the hand
