Re: Snoring at my display...

Re: Snoring at my display...
Hi Deric! Good to see you! I often try and catch a nap and it invigorates me into the evenings. I often do 6 hour sleep cycles. But as I've aged I tend to go 7ish hours. I used to function on a lot

Re: Snoring at my display...
You are feeling old because you stay up until 3 AM most nights. LOL! When I was young I could stay up all night conversing about crap we could never change, nor would ever amount to a hill of Lima

I use Astro Photography Tool. I stay up until the start of the Sequence. I make sure target is well framed and focus. I wait for the first image then go to bed. I have scripts set up in APT to stop

Well, I have become tolerant of Lima Beans if there is more ham than beans. But they have never been something I seek out. I've decided the texture is like a mouthful of diaper scrapings. ;^) Right

The superlube I've been using is PTFE so ok to use then. I understand your concerns about grease separating at low temperatures. I guess some of you guys must be at a latitude where it gets pretty

Sonny, FITS files are used for a reason, astronomy software uses them for data reduction, darks, flats, stacking etc. They also hold valuable information about the images that other files formats

Hmm, Look at the material data sheets and the testing results. This is where you can compare how good a lubricant is under pressure, how well it stays put to do its job in the heat not melting and

Re: Snoring at my display...
Sonny, this a very individual problem. I'm viewing so I have to be awake. I take a nap before I set up. No coffee, soda anything with a stimulant is drank. And after it is over and the sky is turning

Hi! I've had a stretch of... well, maybe interesting experiences. I run Ekos/Indi, not SGP, but it has the capabilty to be fully automated, and yes, produces a mountain of fits-files. When everything

Re: Snoring at my display...
My suggestion is: learn to like Lima beans :)? Or look into other automation software, such as ACP or CCDAutopilot. These all do have a learning curve, but once automated, you can do a whole night

Snoring at my display...
I'm open to suggestions to alleviate this problem. 3 nights ago, I drank a cup of coffee at around 10:30 (22:30 Hours). It kept me awake until 04:00 Hrs. Perfect for imaging. Bad for functioning the

You can also see in this log this exact thing happening. In the bad slew case, we stop getting slew updates after a pulse, and we never get a "slew completed" event. The attached files have more
