I don't think that the link you provided is the right way to upodate astroberry. That link looks like a users documentation for getting a raspberry pi to work with the ekos stack on ubuntu-mate -- it's from 2016! I hope that you didn't follow it!!!

These are the instructions for updating from that wiki:?
"While connected to the Internet you can update your system by running below commands in your terminal: sudo apt update && sudo apt upgrade && sudo apt dist-upgrade"

I just tried that update command on my RPI and it succeeded. I can see the version of indi like this:?
Although those releases are all stable, there is always a small risk of some issue creeping into a stable release. This of course applies to any software, so it is generally a good idea to backup before updating. You can backup the sd card to your desktop before updating. If there is something critically wrong with the latest then just restore the backup.?
