Everything seems to be working properly.? Got one email and everything stopped working.? Using the tx-500 and digirig plug into a Microsoft go 3.? Can't connect to rms server = Can't send email.? Anyone using this equipment?? Can share??

I have it working reliably with my TX-500.? I have a DigiRig Mobile 1.6, Microsoft Surface Go 2, Windows 10 Pro, and VARA HF v.4.7.2.? As far as configuring the radio and the sound card, I basically followed the directions that are now available on the Lab599 website:?

It's important to note that when you change stations/frequencies in Winlink, you need to make sure the radio is in DIGI mode (manually select it).? The CAT control the way it's implemented on the TX-500 can't do that for you at the moment (I'm still hoping that may change in the future).

The digimode hint is key. I know this, I have operated this several times, and still about half the time it doesn't work and I can't figure out why till I remember I haven't turned on the digimode.

Other than that, it seems to work very well for me.

Please add your voices to the request I've been making now since joining this club of TX-500 owners.? I think it would be wonderful if the TX-500 would report back when asked that it is in DIG mode.? In the subset of the Kenwood protocol, the mode command and response is used for this purpose.? Mode 6 in Kenwood is for FSK..? TX-500 accepts MD6; as the command to go to DIG mode but reports back when queried as if it's in USB mode.? if it simply replied to polling with MD6; instead of MD2; then CAT control programs could correctly show that the radio is in DIG mode.
