New Firmware v1.16.04

Changelog:
?
- Reworked mode of operating with memory cells
- Added setting of switching between memory cells: encoder or +/- keys

Have fun and 73, Stephan

Oooo, another firmware update, I like it.

One thing I would like to see is the option to change the look of the "filter bandwidth" on the scope from a reversed display to a pair of vertical lines marking the extents, maybe at a slight or adjustable greyscale. I'm just not a big fan of that part of the display. 100% with the rest though.

Great job Lab599

Loaded 1.16.04.? With all the recent updates I didn't need to refresh myself on the procedure to get into loader mode. Now we need the manual updates to know how to use the new-shiny features.I've already seen preliminary page for V/M memory mode that Dan Sloss shared in FB group and it looks very helpful.

I then did a quick protocol test and confirmed my pet-peeve is still not yet resolved.? We can set the TX-500 into DIG mode with 'MD6;' command but it still replies to 'MD;' query with 'MD2;' saying it is in USB mode, not DIG mode like the protocol could show.

I would like to see the mode CW as default instead of CWR. And there are two new items on the screen in CW mode CWS1 and CWS2 which are not yet in the manual.

CWS1/2 are CW STRINGS for keying from memory, they are not new

if you long press CWR, it switches to CW. I think it saves your setting. I don't see CWR at all anymore and I'm fine w that , I assume if I long press CW, it will come back

No issues so far with the new firmware although I'd still like to see the option of displaying CW keying speed in WPM rather than CPM.?

Actually, I think they've mixed the two up.
I could be wrong, but shouldn't the CW pitch go up when you dial the frequency up?
It does the opposite on the TX-500. Either that or my Elecraft K3 does it wrong.
So in my opinion "CWR" should be the default, but change name to "CW" and vice versa.
Any other opinions on this?
