Paypal friends & family is dodgy- no recourse if they fail to deliver. Wire is the same. I wonder why they'd insist on a payment method that's not reversible?

Yes, interesting difference.? But it may be just a typo error for one of us.? I sometimes get the 9 and 0 mixed up when typing fast.? The glare on my keyboard decals makes the 8, 9 & 0 look the same when not paying close attention.? Anyhow, I'll get confirmation before I send money.?
However, I really want to hear from some users first.? That is a lot of power in such a small package that also includes an antenna tuner.? I worry about reliability and interface problems.

Perhaps he's confusing to the company's name, "Lab599" and the price, 500 Euros.?
As far as purchasing anything via PayPal goes, you should avoid the Friends & Family option.
Is it really that important to get one from Europe so quickly?
They'll be available from HRO or another U.S. distributor soon enough.

some clarification here.
price of the PA500 in Germany is 599 EURO (including 19% german tax) Net price is ~500 EURO
for outside of europe, sales is based on net price. which is 500 EURO or ~599 USD
so thats why it is mixing up 500 and 599.
of course all save payment methods are welcome, incuding PayPal. (PayPal-friends save some money and it's up to you to use it).
Dont't worry about this please....
the little tiny piece of fine engineering the PA500, is really made with passion. our HAM-codex speaks for its own.
Each device is measured and tested on my testbench. This has nothing to do with cheap annoying china electronics, we all know about.

I would love to consider purchasing this, but i dont even have the radio yet (i ordered from HRO early Janurary).? Ive emailed HRO time and time again to get some feedback, and just dont get any answers.? No way on their website to check on order status!

I placed on-line order with HRO early April 2021; I received an unsolicited phone call (voicemail) from the nearby (to me) HRO store indicating they received my order and that the order would be fulfilled through that store (it would be shipped from there), although no delivery date was committed. It is possible/likely your order was routed to a geographically nearby (to you) store (if you are in US - not sure what to suggest if you are not in US); I'd suggest calling that store to see if your order is in their system.

I placed an order in mid-January, and just received my radio today!!!? From what I can tell, and I contacted both Ham Radio Outlet and LAB599 early this week, a large shipment just arrived.? When I talked to HRO, it seemed like this shipment
was expected to fulfill all back orders, with some remaining for inventory.
?
I made 2 successful QSOs this evening hunting POTA activators.

Hello guys. I removed all the risk and ordered one for myself. I'll do a blog post on it based on actually having it in my hands, unlike that other website mentioned in this thread. Diy599.com is legit. Oliver does this for passion, not for money. With all that said, I have beaten the heck out of this amplifier for about 3 weeks. Testing with the Icom IC 705 and the tx500 on FT8, js8, einlink vara 2750, ... It's pretty freaking incredible! My initial plan was to buy the Hard Rock 50. I believe this is superior and a much better value. PA 500 will be featured in my tx500 update video, in the coming days. 73 Julian oh8stn?
