Can anyone tell me what the turn around time is on service from Reno, NV?
 

Mine has been there since last December (2022).

But it needed a new mainboard.

After more than 10 emails, got tired of waiting for a response and gave up. The audio chip is fried. Bought a replacement on eBay that turned out to be fake. This radio is a no go.
 

That is a shame
Which user did you buy from on eBay?

I bought a few audio chips direct from Taiwan.

Also just last weekend fixed a friends TX-500 that had the BNC lead breaking off and causing no reception and obviously infinite SWR on TX.

Easily fix and now she is back up and running. See attached disconnected wire.

Hope you can fix your TX-500. Great radio when it works.

Have you tried contacting Roman from lab599 ?
He was always quick to respond when i contacted him, but ofcourse he is in Russia.
last i read about the US support - the guy that was in charge of repair had gotten sick and was in hospital, but this was a year ago.

He's available via the FB TX-500 page and messenger

Also he was struggling with health issues when I sent mine in. Parts were also an issue.

Turn around for my tx-500 was about 15 days to and from the Middle East (I think). I picked up a “you-never-know” spare so I wasn’t counting days.?
