First, I too don't use FaceBook, and I hear that lately, some of their members have been dropping out. And I'm not onTwitter,either, which seems to be run by a "hands on" "owner/Megalomaniac" .

Second, Rex, you said "places to collect for free in this area", but you failed to tell us what is "this area" ! By looking at your attachment, it looks like "your area" could be in mid-Arizona, but I could be wrong.

The old La-Rocks@... (set up by Brad Smith) was a wonderful forum, with many members. To make this a vibrant forum, it needs to be publicised, so as to gain a larger membership.

Yes, a lot of sites, but are you thinking around LA or further out towards Victorville or Barstow

I have tons of cabs, well, not exactly tons of cabs, but plenty of them. They all need storage. Has anyone found a good inexpensive way to store them without getting scratching? I'd like to be able to see what the cab looks like without unwrapping each piece.

Rock Club Talk Needed for June 8th

For the last couple months, the Culver City club has been holding their monthly meetings online using Zoom. It's turned out to be a nice way to keep the club together and provide member services in the face of city orders to minimize social gatherings.

Past talks have been a slide-show on mineral locations of Death Valley and a tutorial of sand casting for making jewelry items with a live pour using the technique.

We are looking for a speaker for our meeting on June 8th at around 7pm.

We do pay an honorarium. The club can assist speakers in planning your session, we can help arrange practice sessions, and we'll provide back-up tech help during your presentation to be sure that everything goes well.

So if you might be interested, please get in touch with short description of the subject matter.
