Looking to the future , Retrievers include JJ Hardy in deal to Louisiana for Jhonny Peralta.

Hardy , a long time fan favorite, was a Retriever from 2007 through 2012. Originally acquired through a waiver claim. Hardy was a two time World Champion with the Retrievers, 2009 and 2012, served as starting SS through the playoffs in 2012. As a Retriever, Hardy played in 191 games , ranked fifth as a SS , had a 749 OPS, hit 34 homers and drove in 94 runs. His defensive rating was always a 9 or 10.

Retrievers ownership has not yet had the courage to announce to our number one fan, Bette, that JJ has been traded .

Jhonny Peralta returns to the Retrievers where he was the starting SS in 2005.
