Hey Mr no20sportscars. You have owned your 23 since 1997. Tell us a
bit about it and what country you live in. Do you race it?

Andres B. Sta. Maria

Hello marcschagen,

Yes, indeed. I bought my car, 23/S/64 US63, from Ed Brannon (in Scottsdale, Arizona) in 1997. Ed had owned iit since about 1971 and raced it at the Monterey Historics at Laguna Seca in 1996 and earlier years. It was sold by Lotus originally to Ecurie Shirlee and may be historically significant for that reason.

It is a "simple" 23 - perhaps the only one in existence as acording to Bill Steagall everyone has a 23B! - but had a twincam installed I am told in the 60s. It is BRG with a yellow stripe, red interior.

The car has been with me in Manila, Philippines. We did have an active, but very friendly, vintage race series, but unfortunately some problems make it imprudent for me to race now. There is an event in two weekends, and I do hope to bring the 23, start at the back of the grid, and just have fun. No similar cars, but a an old Westfield Eleven has been allowed to run at the same time (in another class), so that should be a good complement to the 23.

I did correspond quite a lot with Bill Steagall, so the car has been on his "register." I have had to use the name "No 20 Sportscars," since I somehow cannot use and had to abandon my normal Yahoo ID! No 20 is an old home address.

Where are you located and tell me about your 23.

Warm regards,

Andres

Hello, all, and especially Andres,
?
First, in case I have not made the announcement, Marc Schagen is now Co-Registrar and a great help to me. Let us all welcome him!
?
Andres, nice to hear from you, and I do hope the problems you mention are not with your health.? Or if they are, may you recover quickly.
