As a pre-war aviator March 6, 1942, he was transferred to the Center for Naval Aviation and Kermine, including command of six squadrons. Following the decision to evacuate the army of General Anders to Persia, March 22, left the center to Krasnovodsk on the Caspian Sea, and on March 27 the ship arrived at Pahlevi. In early April he was transferred to Ahwazu where seriously ill for inflammation of the middle ear. For this reason, two weeks went to the British military hospital. After recovering, April 22, was assigned to the Air Liaison Squadron of the Polish Army in the East, to the position of platoon commander. In May, the squadron went by sea to Palestine. From May 23 stationed at tented camp Bash-Hid, then another near the Strip. Limited training group started at the airport RAF Llyda, but after some time it was decided to shift to England. In late September, the squadron sailed to Suez, where it was transferred to a ship bound for the United Kingdom. After more than pó?toramiesi?cznym cruise with stops in Africa and Brazil, 31 October 1942, the pilots landed in Glasgow.
