This is indeed an interesting site in Polish by the historian Dr Stanislaw Ciesielski from Wroclaw in Poland. ?We will add the link to the Forgotten Odyssey website. ?I have also invited Dr Ciesielski to join our group, but I'm not sure if he reads and writes in English at all.

As a quick guide to his web site material, his main site covers topics on the deportation and resettlement of Poles (and other groups) to the USSR, as well as the Russian-Chechnyan War, recent Polish politics and recent history in Wroclaw. ??He also has a survey of the literature on the deportations written from 1940 to the present.

It would take many hundreds of hours to translate his material - if we have some volunteers, and with his permission, we could parcel it out and start "a project". ?In the meantime, a ?practical approach would be to ask specific questions of interest, and have volunteers from our group search for answers in the material and start to make it accessible in that way.

a translation of the names of the settlements in Kazakhstan (from the
